What is Scopa?

Scopa is Italy's most popular card game, played with a 40-card Napoletane deck. Simple to learn, deeply strategic — every card matters, every capture counts.

How to Play

• 2 or 4 players — you vs 1 or 3 AI opponents
• 40-card Napoletane deck — Bastoni, Coppe, Denari, Spade (ranks 1-10)
• Deal: 3 cards to each player + 4 face-up on the table
• Play a card to capture table cards that match its rank, or a combination that sums to its value
• No match? Your card goes face-up on the table
• Scopa! Clear all table cards for a bonus point
• When hands are empty, deal 3 more until the deck runs out

Scoring (each round)

• Carte — most cards captured = 1 point
• Denari — most coins captured = 1 point
• Settebello — 7 of Denari = 1 point
• Primiera — best card per suit = 1 point
• Scope — each table clear = 1 point
• First to 11 points wins!
